COMMUNITY

From the forums

Public discussion is limited. In an r/node thread, one developer reported using Hookdeck in production with a good experience, while another preferred building a webhook pipeline with AWS services. In a separate r/selfhosted discussion, a user sought a self-hosted alternative. These are individual accounts, not evidence of a broad community consensus.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does Hookdeck Event Gateway do?+

It receives webhook requests, queues and routes events to application endpoints, and provides filtering, transformations, retries, replay, and delivery monitoring.

Is Hookdeck free, and is a credit card required?+

Yes. The Developer plan is always $0 per month and includes up to 10,000 events, 100,000 discarded requests, one user, and three-day retention. Signup does not require a credit card.

Does Hookdeck deliver events exactly once and in order?+

No. Hookdeck provides at-least-once delivery, and event order is not guaranteed. Make handlers idempotent so duplicate deliveries do not repeat side effects.
