What is Porter?

Porter is a managed PaaS that provisions and operates Kubernetes-based application infrastructure inside your AWS, GCP, or Azure account. It handles Git and Docker deployments, networking, CI/CD, autoscaling, monitoring, logging, and preview environments while keeping the underlying cloud relationship under your control. The service charges for requested application resources, and the cloud provider charges separately for the infrastructure Porter creates.

Porter has no general permanent free plan. Eligible startups can apply for a deal that waives Porter platform fees for six months, but the AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure costs remain separate.

How much does Porter cost?＋

Standard pricing is $6 per GB of RAM per month, or $0.009 per hour, and $13 per vCPU per month, or $0.019 per hour. The plan includes unlimited applications and preview environments, but excludes the underlying cloud provider bill.
