FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is DigitalOcean Spaces free?+
Spaces has no ongoing free plan. The first team receives a $5 signup credit that expires after 90 days, and a valid payment method is required before creating resources. Standard Storage starts at $5 per month.
Does Spaces include a CDN?+
Yes. Standard Storage buckets can use the built-in CDN at no separate fee, but CDN traffic counts against the included outbound transfer allowance. Cold Storage does not support CDN integration.
Can I use Amazon S3 tools with Spaces?+
Yes. Spaces has an S3-compatible API that works with AWS S3 SDKs and other compatible clients, but it only partially supports Amazon S3 features.
