Yes. The Temporal server is MIT-licensed and can be self-hosted without a Temporal license fee. You still pay for your own infrastructure, or you can use the managed Temporal Cloud service.

How much does Temporal Cloud cost?＋

Pay-As-You-Go has no base monthly fee and starts at $50 per million Actions, plus Active and Retained Storage. New accounts receive $150 in credits for 90 days.

Does Temporal Cloud require a credit card?＋

Yes for Temporal Cloud. The pricing FAQ states that a credit card is required; new accounts receive $150 in credits that expire after 90 days. Self-hosting does not require a card.
